About SACC Chicago

SACC Chicago is a chamber with an actively involved and diverse board and has a big range of members of different sizes and from a wide variety of industries.

Trainees are actively involved in all aspects of our programs and activities, giving them exposure to operating a business, as well as direct contacts with business people from many different industries. The office is located in the center of downtown Chicago, a walkable and welcoming city with lots of parks, Lake Michigan, the River Walk, Magnificent Mile and access to great public transportation.

Our Mission

The Swedish-American Chamber of Commerce in Chicago (SACC Chicago) is an independent, non-profit, membership driven Swedish and American business collaborative. SACC Chicago creates opportunities for members to promote their products and services and network through business and social events. Moreover, to strengthen their corporate and professional skills through the sharing of expertise, education, and training. SACC Chicago was founded in the early 70’s and represent members in Chicago and Illinois as well as in Indiana, Iowa, Missouri and Wisconsin, a geographical area of nearly 43 million inhabitants.

Networking

SACC Chicago is one of 20 Swedish American Chambers across the United States that collaborate under the umbrella of SACC USA, which is headquartered in Washington DC. SACC USA keeps strong links with the Swedish Embassy to the United States, the Embassy of the United States in Stockholm, and the American Chamber of Commerce in Sweden. SACC’s extended partner network also comprises local organizations such as the Honorary Consulate of Sweden (Chicago), the Swedish American Museum (SAM), the Swedish Women’s Educational Association (SWEA), North Park University, Business Sweden, and other Nordic and European Chambers of Commerce.

Events

As a member of SACC Chicago you get to experience business and social events over the year arranged by SACC Chicago and SACC Chicago Young Professionals. We provide our members the biggest Swedish-American network in Chicago and our events give you the benefit of the focused international business network and the possibility to increase recognition for your company and yourself. As a member of SACC Chicago you are also invited to events arranged by other European organizations in Chicago.

Board of Directors

​​​​​​​SACC Chicago has 14 Board Directors, three Honorary Directors, one Executive Director, one Head Intern and one Part-time Intern. The Board meetings are held once per month.
